# Chapter 4: Academic Mobility Spotlight – Felix Wiegand

* **The Catalyst:** Entering the Munich Hacking Legal competitive cohort enabled student Felix Wiegand (no Legal Tech background, rather Aviation and Automotive Software Engineering studies) to engage directly with real-world enterprise data infrastructure as part of the winning collaborative track in 2025.

* **The Bridge:** Drawing on the global networking touchpoints established at Munich Hacking Legal and deepened during his LLF- funded trip to Hack the Law in Cambridge, Felix expanded his horizons and research reach far beyond his regional boundaries. While at Cambridge Hack the Law, Felix met international mentors, including representatives from CodeX (The Stanford Center for Legal Informatics) in Palo Alto, California.

* **The Academic Outcome:** Felix continued his exchanges with his new CodeX connections. The collaborative touchpoints formed at Cambridge resulted in an invitation from CodeX for Felix to spend a semester of international study (Auslandsstudium) for his master’s degree at Stanford University. He is currently conducting his master’s research at Stanford CodeX in Silicon Valley, actively contributing to global legal informatics research and to generative AI governance frameworks. Felix will return to TUM in the Winter Semester to complete his master’s program.
